Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a natural polysaccharide that exists in all living organisms and specifically the skin and connective tissue of the human body.
HA is very bio-compatible. In other words, the body does not recognise it as foreign.
These particular forms of HA are made from non-animal HA, so an allergy test is not necessary before treatment. As a result, they offer the agreeable option of a one-visit treatment.
Depending on who you ask, HA appears to last longer than bovine collagen - in some people, as long as 6 - 8 months. The layering technique popularised with collagen can also be used with HA to give a smooth finish and make it last longer.
